Prime Minister Harper abruptly resigns

In a stunning reversal of fortune Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper abruptly resigned this morning.

In a terse statement the Prime Minister’s office said that Harper was stepping down due to charges of election fraud in the Robocall Election Scandal.

Time ran out for Harper this weekend as Elections Canada filed charges directly charging him for election fraud and gross political corruption.

In a surprise move, Cabinet Minister Leona Aglukkaq has been appointed interim PM.  This would make her the first Inuit Prime Minister in Canadian history.

Happy April Fools Day.. (too bad this story isn’t true.. ;o)
