(de)Construction Ahead!

I have been meaning to get around to explaining why I named my blog the Daily Deconstuctor.  Deconstruction is a term coined by post-modern French philosopher Jacques Derrida.

It was his response to Structuralism.  Structuralists focus on breaking down text into small elements for study.  Deconstruction suggests that meanings of a text are multiple and contradictory.

Deconstruction states that to know anything you need to know the environment that something exist within, so a definitive answer to any question can be anything but definitive…  ;o) ..

I feel our whole society is constructed in a way that deliberately disguises its intentions and methods in order to protect the governing elite from rebellion from below.

We may not be able to directly expose the lies and contradictions that make up our social structure, but we can endeavour to deconstruct our own minds and thereby perhaps creating a conceptual rebellion from below.. ;o)
