Great moments on TV

Stephen Colbert‘s roast of George W. Bush at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner (2006) has to go down as a classic great moment on TV.  Seems only yesterday you could almost smell the fear and paranoia coming out of Washington.  Bush seemed unstoppable and untouchable.

Horrifying crimes were being committed and nobody dared to speak openly about them.  Then onto the stage stepped Stephen Colbert and he not only broke the spell but roasted the swine to his face.  It took cojones to do what he did and even six years later I’m still laughing with amazement that he managed to do it.  Here it is…
