Bethlehem 2012, no room left in the inn

Busy Xmas season in Bethlehem this year and there are literally no rooms left for visitors.  This is a big change from previous years when Christmas was cancelled because of armed conflict.  This year there are lots of pilgrims from around the world although those from Palestine find it harder to get to Bethlehem than those from the West.

There are a lot of Middle Eastern Christians.  They make up 10 percent of Egypt, Jordan and Syria, and 22 percent of Lebanon. Even in Israel, they are 2 percent of the population.  Palestinian Christians used to be 12 percent of the population.  I wonder how they view their fellow Christians in the West.
