Pipeline Company issued trespass warning

In BC Polytricks on December 3, 2012 at 8:08 am

Feelings are running high about any pipelines through BC.  A survey crew for the Pacific Trails Natural Gas Pipeline got handed a notice of trespass by a clan of the Wet’suwet’en nation.  Years of bogus dog-and-pony ‘consultation’ between BC First Nations groups and the government and gas industry have gone nowhere.  But that is its intended purpose.  I don’t fancy the chances of these multinational corporations punching pipelines through hundreds of miles of bush.  It would be a security nightmare.. ;o)

There were demonstrations across Canada this week protesting the plans to build pipelines through native territory without any meaningful consultation or compensation.  The race to get to get fossil fuels across BC and to China has taken on idiotic proportions.  BC’s real carbon footprint will be three times the ‘official’ count if  all these fossil fuel boondoggles go through.  Its simply helping China be the worst greenhouse-gas emitter in the world.
